3 Essential Components of a Success Mind-Set (Tweet this!)
In my opinion, there are 3 essential components you require for a success mind-set. They essentially act like three parts of a triangle: without one side, the triangle would be incomplete and ineffective.
The development of a success mind-set is not something that is limited to super-achievers. It certainly isn’t something that they are born with either. Evidence seems to suggest it is something they have programmed into them over a period of time (as the work of Bandler and Grinder, the founders of NLP, set out to prove when seeking to model excellence.) This is something quite profound for those of us who have not yet achieved the dizzy heights of super-achievement – effectively, anybody can do it with the right PMA i.e. Positive Mental Achievement.
So what are these 3 components?
I asked myself this question the other day and, after some careful thought (as well as some great interaction with other like-minded people on some success-orientated forums), I came up with what I believe are the three parameters you need to have to create a powerful success mind-set. They form part of the latest Success Psychology Power Briefing, which you can find embedded below from SlideShare. (As well as detailing the 3 components, you’ll find some action steps included that you can try to get things started on your path to success!):
What do you think of this power briefing? Do you agree with the essential 3 components? Or do you think there are other things that you consider are essential for developing a powerful success mind-set? Do you have any other exercises or actions you’ve used in the past and which you’ve found useful? Have these been of assistance in getting you on the journey to success?
If you have, I’d love you to share them with us. Please feel free to leave a comment or post in the box below. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
